Cobots play a big role in the digital transformation of the factory of the furure. Efficient deployment requires comprehensive security strategies for retrofitting into an existing production line. Within LaiLa a cobot system will be developed and deployed.

A multifunctional cobot system with linear axis extension is being developed. Scope of the process is to develop a CE certified cobot system with automated path planning capabilities for different use cases like sanding, deburring, automated surface preparation using VUV-Excimer lamps or optical inspection. The implemented safety functions of the cobot system are a key enabler for the integration in an existing production facility without a separating protective fence. The robot system is equipped with a OPC-UA Server for easy remote monitoring of the current process or quality data capturing.
